On August 5th, the Guilderland Little League 11U All-star team won the New York State Little League Championship by defeating Staten Island’s Great Kills National.  The team went 6-1 in the State tournament.  Only the top eight 10/11 year old teams in the State made it into the tournament.

Congratulations to the players: Derek Griffin, Jake Palmer, Brendan Curry, Micah Vennard, Giovanni Simeone, Jackson Lilley, Jack Saia, Matt Wilkes, Nick Plue, Will Baumann, Dan Keaney, John O’Brien, and Evan Schreivogl.  Congratulations also to Manager Josh Plue and Coaches Mike Baumann, Tom Keaney, and John Saia.

This remarkable achievement could not have been possible without the parents, families, and friends who have supported the team throughout the season.
